Having enough bathroom towel storage is a common issue many people face. Most bathrooms, no matter if they’re large or small, can benefit from having more storage – especially storage for towels. The master bathroom in my previous house was plenty big enough, but surprisingly it didn’t have a linen closet. That required me to come up with alternative storage solutions for my towels.

BATHROOM TOWEL STORAGE IDEAS
1 Just because a piece of furniture was meant for the bedroom, living room, or dining room, doesn’t mean you can’t use it in the bathroom. Bring in a small cabinet and give it fresh new life as a place to store towels.
2 There are many ways to repurpose an old changing table. One way is to utilize it as storage in the bathroom. The generous depth of the shelves make it the perfect size to hold extra large bath towels.
3 Warm up a sleek white bathroom with a piece of rustic furniture. The unexpected texture will give the bathroom unique character and provide quick and easy access to towels.
4 Baskets are fabulous for storing just about anything. Use a large woven basket to hold rolled up bath towels. Then place it below the sink or conveniently near the shower or tub.
5 In a small bath, take advantage of vertical space by hanging baskets on the wall above the toilet or tub and using them to store towels. The baskets can be made of natural woven material or bring in metal for something different.
6 With several rungs, a ladder offers a unique and charming way to store bath towels. You could use an actual ladder or purchase a ladder shelf unit.
7 Another fun idea is to repurpose an antique stepladder. They’re small enough to fit into tight spaces, such as next to the sink. Cut and add shelves to fit from from to back and it provides a unique place for towels and toiletries.
8 Rolled up towels fit perfectly in a standing wine rack. This is a great storage solution and keeps towels within easy reach. It’s also very decorative. Choose towels in colors to coordinate with your bathroom decor or go with all neutrals for sophisticated style.
9 If you like the idea of using a wine rack for towel storage but don’t have the floor space, opt for a wall hanging model.
HOTEL STYLE STORAGE
10 Take a note from hotels and stack your towels on a towel rack shelf. It does double duty holding clean towels and offers a place to hang wet towels to dry.
11 Fixed to the wall, a tall spine bookshelf takes up no floor space and width-wise, very little wall space. In a small bath, it makes use of vertical space.
12 Narrow shelving units aren’t just for display or books. They also make for attractive and functional towel storage.
If you need more storage in your bathroom, think outside of the box. And don’t forget to utilize empty vertical space; it’s a great opportunity to bring in additional storage.
